RIDGID Wet/Dry Vacuum, Model WD1278: 5 HP, 12 Gallon, 15 Foot Cord and All Accessories

The Ridgid 1278 is a wet-dry vacuum small and versatile enough for the home, yet powerful enough for occasional industrial or business use. The standout features are its 15-foot long cord, eliminating extension cords in most cases; and its storage areas for all its attachments and hose including 3 additional areas for accessories that one can buy separately.

The hose is 7 feet long, and with the extension wands make it span 11 feet. The 2 1/2-inch suction and blower ports accept the 1-7/8 inch diameter hose, which is more a flexible size in a home setting where space might be an issue, while a 2-1/2 inch hose is available for purchase separately.

Other accessories available for purchase separately include a dusting brush, a crevice tool (great for auto detailing) and a wet nozzle.

The filter only needs occasional replacement and will last tens of hours, even while occasionally suctioning liquids. Two other filters are available to purchase separately: The VF5000 captures fine dust and the VF6000 reduces allergens.
